How to delete an Inventory Item

Delete inventory items to clean up test data or excess entries, removing them from inventory and usage history.

Note: If you want to keep the history of the inventory item that you want to remove than you might instead want to mark it out of stock rather than deleting it.

1. Locate the Inventory Item within Knowledge ERP
   • If you have a barcode label for the inventory item and a barcode scanner, click on the search field in the header and simply scan the barcode with your barcode scanner, or
   • If you have a barcode label for the inventory item and do not have a barcode scanner, click on the search field in the header and type the barcode value (displayed below the barcode) and then press the "return" key, or
   • Locate the inventory item manually
     • Navigate to the Inventory Item list page.
       • Click on the "Inventory" section in the menu.
       • Then click on the "Items" link.
     • Click on the Filter button and filter the list to find the inventory item(s) that you want.
     • Click on the item name to get to the details page.
2. Click on the "Edit" button in the top of the first information panel.
3. Click on the red "Delete" button and confirm that you want to delete the inventory item.
